Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty, born October 1, 1995, was raised in Berkeley, California. She is known as an actor in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which also includes actors and directors was also a professional. She first made her debut in film at age nine in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni bisogni. At the age of eighteen she was the lead of Cristina Comencini's Zoo and a member of Michele Soavi's The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's daughter was released a year later. However, it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career take off. It was well received during the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma she appeared for the first time alongside her father, the famous Italian filmmaker of horror Dario Argento her mother is one of the most beloved actresses by Argento, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout of her parents' killer. Asia's intense way of acting was effectively utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. Her role as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di the vista, a physically handicapped girl, was a difficult and intricate role, which brought her the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actor. The film also featured her in a major part in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995, she collaborated along with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio and won a David di Donatello. Asia's first short film was a scene from the De Generazione movie. Two years after, Asia became a director and made two more films. One of them, AbelAsia is a tribute to her dad. Asia's debut feature film as a director was Scarlet Diva where she starred as the lead actress, and also wrote the screenplay. The film released on May 1, 2000 in Italy as well as all over the world. The film was honoured at the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York.
